Over the past two years, our team has been working directly with youth during the school day teaching the importance of mindfulness, movement and relaxation. We have seen first hand how this journey to self-awareness helps kids recognize their emotions and regulate stress. At UB.U, we believe experience becomes insight.
Rachel is a certified Yoga Alliance teacher, and she has been practicing yoga and mindfulness for over a decade. She has been teaching yoga classes, leading programs and retreats for six years. Rachel is trained in Mindful Schools Fundamentals and Mindful Schools Curriculum. She worked with The Youth Foundation for three years teaching yoga and mindfulness for the Girl PowHER program. She is currently training with Landmark in their Curriculum for Living. Rachel is in her fourth year mentoring a yoga teacher in Kenya through a non-profit called Africa Yoga Project.

Emily’s life goal is to live full and leave this world knowing she has made a difference. Through years of practicing yoga, breath work and mindfulness Emily discovered who she truly is, though she had no idea self-awareness was missing from her life. This realization fueled Emily’s desire to pass on what she’s learned; she completed Kids Yoga Teacher Training certification with Yoga for Young Warriors and is trained in mindfulness through Mindful Schools. Emily sees kids struggling with adult-sized challenges and is inspired to help them lead their best lives.

Anne-Marie is a Colorado licensed educator with experience in Denver and Chicago public schools. Over the last three years, her heart has been dedicated to the middle and high school girls of Eagle County as Girl PowHER coordinator at the Youth Foundation. Whether biking, skiing or spending time with family and friends, Anne-Marie’s passion is infectious. Her ongoing practice of mindfulness and yoga gives her the strength to try new things and tackle daily challenges. She is trained through Mindful Schools, Yoga for Young Warriors, Signs of Suicide, and Calming Kids: Creating a Non-Violent World.
