UB.U inspires hope, authenticity and resilience by helping children and teens understand brain health and development and practice present moment awareness. Integrated into the school day, this journey to self-discovery helps students recognize the connection between the brain, the body and the breath while cultivating acceptance and kindness. UB.U introduces tools to promote focus, regulate stress, improve social-emotional skills and encourage empathy and compassion. Lessons incorporate breathing exercises and mindfulness practices, movement, improvisation, thoughtful discussion and relaxation. This lifelong practice of self discovery, awareness and relaxation illuminates new pathways for responding to thoughts, emotions and challenging situations.

Over the last decade or more, we have seen a tremendous need to address social emotional wellness, resilience and character development in schools. UB.U has experienced first hand, the pressures kids face from peers, parents, teachers and even of themselves. In school, this translates to anxiety, aggressive behavior, bullying and even mental health concerns. Academics often tend to suffer due to this emotional stress. UB.U K-12 programming shows students how to stay present, recognize emotion, and trust themselves.
